The plan to punish the official implicated in the shooting of Palestinian journalist Shirin Abu Aqila in the West Bank was shot down by Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lepid. The Prime Minister of Israel has stated that he will not permit any of his officials to be prosecuted for receiving plaudits from other countries.
