Creative photography is an extraordinary kind of photography that strives to discover new color, patterns, beauty and adventure among many other things. This makes creative photography very exhilarating. It rouses all the senses of a photographer adding a very inventive touch to their final work. Many proletarian photographers dream of becoming creative photography experts. However, there are very few who essentially master it although originality is an innate aspect of life in everyone.

The creative photographer like Radha Singh knows how to use her creativity and produce quality images and rise above other photographers. The definition in dictionary for creativity is, the ability to transcend traditional rules, ideas, relationships, patterns or the like, and to create meaningful new forms, ideas, interpretations, methods, etc.; progressiveness, originality or imagination.

Some of the keys to great creativity are as follows:

  1. To take part in your creation

Become one with your creation when you are about to create something. Use all of your senses before you press that shutter. By pondering the whole scene and sitting quietly try to sense things and give attention to every single little component that will be a part of your ultimate image. Know how they relate to each other and what they are. If necessary, exclude some. Sound knowledge is the ultimate power to create.

  1. Practice hard.

When it comes to learning creativity, practice is the path to great photography. The great artists of the globe who have created the greatest masterworks did not start out as the ultimate. They initiated with the first phase towards greatness. They spent years developing their art, practicing it to the greatness we now find them.

  1. Experiment new things.

To try new things, never be afraid. See what happens after you break the rules. Sometimes it will not work out and other times it will. Try new viewpoints, angles, change the format or camera settings. Planning is essential but sometimes you need to try something different.

  1. Assess your work.

The key to any creative process is knowing where you need to improve and what you are doing wrong. Assess your work against the rules and principles of photography. Find out where you are making the mistakes and eradicate those blunders from upcoming photos.

  1. Shoot again

Shoot again if you feel that based on what you have learned and the opinions of others, your photos are not up to standard. Find the same subject, go to the same place, and shoot it again. Until you see an improvement in your creativity, keep shooting. Do not ever get disheartened. Work at learning and get going where you have been going wrong.

As Radha Singh NJ says, creativity is not something you are born with but something that is acquired and learned. Some people reach great heights earlier than others. But it is perseverance with most of us that result in the ultimate great image. Along with hard work, effort and time together will gradually be rewarded, so one should not give up. Creative photography is not an ability you are born with but one that can be attained by practice and diligence.
